Alexandre J. Maurer is a composer and music producer from the french part of Switzerland based in Zurich with a strong background in jazz drumming, guitar, bass, keyboards, sound design and experimental electronic music.

The music of Alexandre illustrate a whole world between, acoustic instruments, sound design, digital glitch and warm analog synth. His many different skills and understanding for very diverse music genre is leading Alexandre J. Maurer to explore a multiple range of contemporary art of sound.

His work has been rewarded with several prizes in various competitions in Germany and Switzerland, such as the "Friedlwald-Stiftung" and the Remix-Competition of the "Deutsche Symphony Orchestra".

The French-speaking Swiss musician has spent most of his time playing with various artists such as Black Cracker (US), Basel Symphony Orchestra (CH), Soweto Kinch (UK), Malcom Braff (CH), Kaspar Ewald Exhorbittantes Kabinett (CH), Kaos Protokoll (CH), Kamikaze (CH), EVVOL (AUS/IRL), PHIA (AUS), Anne Haight (D), Orchester im Treppenhaus (D) and Ella Ronen (ISR) as a percussionist.

Alexandre J. Maurer is currently working on different projects as a composer for the Swiss national TV such as TV shows, scores, as a music producer for theatre/performance, soundtracks, commercials, and teaches the drums at the Musik Konservatorium Zürich.

The Swiss composer challenges himself everyday by giving his best in every collaborations in order to serve and celebrate people’s Projects.
